Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. West Ave Animal Hospital is an independent practice, and we’re currently welcoming new patients! Call today to schedule your pet’s wellness visit.

How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

Most healthy adult pets should be seen at least once a year. Puppies, kittens, senior pets, and pets with health conditions often need more frequent visits, so call and we’ll recommend the right schedule for your pet.

What’s included in your wellness packages?

The dog wellness package ($190.50) includes the exam, DA2P vaccine, oral bordetella, a 3-year rabies vaccine, a heartworm test, and a fecal test. The cat wellness package ($175.50) includes the exam, a fecal check, the FVRCP vaccine, the feline leukemia vaccine, and a 3-year rabies vaccine. Both are priced per pet.

Can you add other vaccines or services to the package?

Yes. Depending on your dog’s lifestyle and needs, we can add additional vaccines and services like the Lyme vaccine, rabies titer tests, and more. Call us and we’ll help you build the right plan for your pet.

Are booster vaccines included in the package?

No. Boosters are not included in the package price. We’ll walk you through the vaccine schedule at your visit so you know what your pet needs and when.

Is the wellness package only for new clients?

No. It’s available to everyone, whenever it’s time for your pet’s vaccines and tests.

What happens at an annual wellness visit?

A full exam, a review of your pet’s vaccines and parasite prevention, nutrition guidance, and time to ask about anything you’ve noticed at home. If bloodwork or other tests would help, we’ll explain why before anything is added.
